PIO Network Meeting – Thursday, November 16, 2017

The next meeting of the Houston-Galveston Regional PIO Network is scheduled for 10 a.m., on Thursday, November 16, 2017.

 

LOCATION

PIO Network meetings are hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Houston District Office located at 7600 Washington Avenue (not Street) in Houston, TX. Free parking is available in the parking garage adjacent to the TxDOT building.

 

CHECK-IN

Due to new security procedures, you must check-in at the visitor registration desk in the lobby. We will provide TxDOT Security with our RSVP List which will speed up your check-in process, so please RSVP below to get your name on the RSVP list.

 

MEETING ROOM

This meeting is scheduled in the Auditorium located on the TxDOT first floor. See the signage in the lobby and enter the double doors on the right side of the Lobby.

Lessons learned from Hurricane Harvey

Hurricane Harvey was a devastating storm to our region. With endless days of constant rain and floods, communicating with the public was imperative. What challenges did the counties, city, Red Cross, National Weather Service and Houston ISD face? Panelists will discuss the good, the bad and the ugly in communicating and planning before, during and after Hurricane Harvey.
